With powerhouse vocals comparable to Susan Tedeschi and Basia Bulat, paired with the softness, clarity and intonation of Eva Cassidy and The Staves, there is a pureness to Claire’s voice that can silence a room. Her warm, funny, and engaging stage manner, on top of her heart wrenching songs, ornate finger picking, and velvety smooth voice are sure to stay with her audience long after the show is over. She brings a fresh, graceful feel to contemporary folk, and is sure to move audiences with skillfully crafted songs but also charm them with her “wicked sense of humour” (Rik Emmett, Triumph).
Her latest EP, On The Other Side, reached #3 in the national !earshot Folk/Roots/Blues charts in Canada, and has been receiving glowing reviews and airplay in the UK, the US and Europe. She was recently an in studio guest at CBC Radio One’s “Fresh Air”, and Track #3, “Love In Your Eyes”, received a song writing nomination for Colleen Peterson’s Songs From The Heart Award (OAC).
“Claire’s voice takes your breath away. Smokey, earthy, and above all, as pure as the mountain air; a voice that was made for singing these folk/country songs. Her EP is a little diamond.”

“Someone once wrote we should see earth as womb.” That state of mind is immediate when I hear DRFTR sing. A call for hope, for empowerment, for love and forgiveness in his voice. In any kind of day that you may be looking at, I think his music can help.”
